Cancer Survivorship: Finding Your Quiet Sanctuary in a Noisy World (And Why It Matters For Your Healing)
You may have noticed that things have been a little quiet from my corner lately. Honestly, the world has felt incredibly noisy and heavy, and I have a feeling you might be feeling that too. As someone who navigates my own healing journey, I've become fiercely protective of my energy and what I allow into my space. Adding to the digital din just wasn't an option unless I had something truly meaningful to share.
This personal journey into deep self-care and introspection led me to realize something profound about the kind of support truly needed for cancer survivorship... for cancer warriors, patients, and caregivers navigating life after a diagnosis. We crave connection, but we also crave peace. We need real talk, but without the overwhelm of endless ads and distractions.
And that's precisely why I'm so incredibly excited to announce the biggest shift for our Ashes of Courage cancer survivorship community... we've moved to a beautiful, new private home!
You've seen it. Your social media feeds are inundated with ads, with algorithms dictating what you see, and with a constant stream of information that often feels more draining than supportive. For those navigating life after cancer challenges, for cancer patients trying to conserve energy during treatment, and especially for the unique journey of cancer survivorship, this noise is more than just annoying. It's detrimental to your mental health and your healing.
We realized that for Ashes of Courage to truly be the sanctuary it was meant to be, it needed to be a breath of fresh air. Our new private platform is exactly that. It's quiet. It's completely private. And it has ZERO ads. Your sensitive journey and your privacy are honored and protected here. This is where you can let your guard down, without fear of judgment or unwanted external noise. This move aligns deeply with my own need for intentional, calm spaces to cultivate clarity and energy, and I know it will serve you powerfully too.
Beyond the peaceful environment, our approach to cancer support is different. We reject the 'who had it worse' comparisons. We don't believe in sitting in a constant pity party or endless complaining. And we certainly don't believe you should feel alone, like no one gets it.
Instead, within Ashes of Courage, you'll find:
Real Friendships & True Connections: We get to know each other beyond our cancer stories. We don't compare notes, ever, because your cancer journey is valid, and so is everyone else's. We laugh, we ask for help, and we show up.
Specialized Support Rooms for Cancer Survivorship & Every Stage: This is a unique offering, born from understanding the very specific needs at each stage. We've created dedicated 'rooms' so you can connect with cancer survivors and caregivers who are living your exact reality.
Just Diagnosed/In Treatment: For those feeling terrified and overwhelmed.
Survivorship: For those finding their ground and navigating the Aftermath of cancer.
Stage 4/MBC: For those feeling overwhelmed about living alongside cancer, know we've got your back.
Caregivers & Supporters: A space just for you to unpack the silent burden you carry.
Monthly Live Support Calls: Down to earth, casual, and a place to simply be without needing to explain yourself. We had one last week, and it was incredible – full of real connection and laughter.
This integrative healing approach fosters post-cancer empowerment and true emotional healing, moving beyond just coping to genuinely thriving in your cancer survivorship."
This is a unique offering amongst many others that we've built for you, and we're so proud of what we're building in our community, with you.
If you haven't made the move yet, or if you'd like to see if we're a place where you'd like to land, we're waiting to welcome you! This is your sanctuary for profound emotional healing and unfiltered guidance within cancer survivorship.

Anyway, Rylie is waiting for me to take her on our morning walk! I love starting the day with her and listening to the happy little birds chirping their morning songs! Did you know birds chirping are a proven way to boost your mental health? It's true.
Just like finding peace in the small moments, finding your true community makes all the difference. Hope to see you inside!
